The series closely follows the plot of the novel, in which the Hogfatherthe Discworld equivalent of Father Christmashas gone missing and Death is forced to take his place while Death's granddaughter Susan attempts to find out what happened.
But on his 11th birthday, he learns he's a powerful wizard -- with a place waiting for him at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Great visuals in this 3 hour movie, so much detail for your eye to take in really gives the film a sure footing. A band of wizards headed up by a mystical university president named Mustrum Ridcully Joss Acklanda loyal manservant called Albert David Jasona level-headed governess called Susan Sto Heilt Michelle Dockeryand her grandfather, who happens to be - Death Marnix van den Broeke.
